About Lisa

Lisa LangLisa Lang is a physical therapist (PT), a certified myofascial trigger point therapist (CMTPT) and a licensed massage and bodywork therapist (LMBT).

She began her career in the field of computer science after graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1985 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science from the College of Charleston.  She worked as a software engineer for a computer engineering corporation until 1993 and then decided that a career change was in order.

In 1995, Lisa graduated Suma Cum Laude with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina.  Always fascinated by the myofascial system of the body, she focused her practice in the area of soft tissue rehabilitation by receiving her National Certification and N.C. License as a Massage and Bodywork Therapist in 1999.  She continued her bodywork education with the advanced study and certification in Neuromuscular Massage Therapy and the techniques of Janet G. Travell, M.D. Manual Trigger Point Therapy.  In 2011,  Lisa  became certified in Intramuscular Manual Therapy (Dry Needling) through Myopain seminars and the Janet G. Travell, M.D. Seminar Series. This seminar series is the most extensive series offered to physical therapists for the study of dry needling.  She is one of the first physical therapists in North Carolina and the first physical therapist in the Charlotte region to complete this extensive certification and offer this exciting therapeutic technique.

Lisa is an independent practitioner in Charlotte, N.C.  She values spending individual, hands-on time with her clients, blending the best of both disciplines.  She enjoys working with athletes as well as those with both acute and chronic pain conditions.

Lisa offers an individualized, fee for service practice where you are guaranteed one-on-one treatment, free from the constraints imposed by insurance companies.
